The story of the Yugioh Dark Magician Card is a bit of a tragic one, as is much of the back story of the Pharaoh and the assorted frequently seen yugioh trading cards.

The Dark Magician originally went by the name of Mahado and was a faithful servant of the Pharaoh and the actual owner of the Millenium Ring. Mahado also just happened to be the strongest spell caster of the kingdom. The Dark Magician witnesses, with his own eyes, the destruction that Bakura is capable of when he sees a village that has been destroyed.

Despite the warning he receives from Isis, the Dark Magician seeks out Bakura and ultimately loses the fight when he gets distracted by a trap. The final words he utters as his soul combines with Ka, is to vow that he will always be with the Pharaoh and will always be a loyal servant.

Since Yugi is given the soul of the Pharaoh it makes sense that the Dark Magician would help out Yugi as much as possible and be playable whenever Yugi really needs his help. The card itself is a pretty strong card on it's own since it boasts a 2500 starting attack power and 2100 defense points. By fusing the Dark Magician Card or aging it, you can create a even more powerful card that will make any opponent flinch.

Although he does not have inherent abilities that make him abnormally stronger than other cards, you can easily make this card formidible. Whether you are a collector or a professional duelist, this is a card that you should at least understand or know how to beat, if you do not own it outright. I strongly suggest finding a place for this card in at least one of your playable decks.

Seto Kaiba is typically seen as a arch-villain of Yugi in the original Yugioh series. But as the story progresses he becomes a little more of an ally than an enemy.

Kaiba is the owner of his own company, called Kaiba Corp. Throughout the series Kaiba is in a constant struggle to maintain ownership of the company while dueling and creating enemies out of defeated duel opponents. Because of his constantly changing focus of attention, Seto Kaiba develops into a very complicated character.

Seto and his younger brother, Mokuba, were orphaned at a very young age and this leaves Seto to be fairly co-dependent on Mokuba. It is through Mokuba that we are introduced to a more human and sympathetic version of the character.

At one point, Seto is defeated in a duel by Yugi who uses a Exodia to defeat the Blue Eyes White Dragon, and subsequently retires from playing Duel Monsters. However, when Pegasus kidnaps Mokuba in an attempt to take over Kaiba Corp., Seto is forced to once again pick up his dueling deck and fight to free his younger brother.

Later, Seto Kaiba comes into ownership of Obelisk the Tormentor during the Battle City tournament and then plays further into the plot of the stone tablet and it's depiction of Yugi and the Egyptian God Cards. Ultimately Kaiba loses Obelisk the Tormentor to Yugi during the semi finals.

Though he does not appear in the series, Seto Kaiba is referenced in the GX series as the one who started the Duel Academy. Thus tying the two series together.

You want a powerful monster? Try out the massive attack power of 5000 that comes with the Five God Dragon. This card has many names and nick names, but is most well known as either the Five God Dragon or the Five Headed Dragon.

Regardless of the name, this card boasts one of the largest attack powers available in the entire dueling universe! I repeat, 5000 attack power! But summoning this monster isn't all that easy, which makes it allowable for many duels and tournaments.

One of the most memorable villains, Marik appears in the "Battle Arc" and has two personalities. His alter ego is a maniacal evil personality that is bent on gaining the Pharaoh's title and power by collecting all three egyptian god cards and utilizing their power.

Marik is part of a very complicated plot of the Yugioh saga that takes place during a tournament. But behind the character lies a playable deck as well. Though the deck was never actually shown, we are given glimpses of his cards through the duels his 'Rare Hunters' engage in. Some of the cards they use include 'Revival Jam', 'Jam Defender', and 'Masked Beast Des Gardius'.

The cards played during those duels give hints as to the power of Marik's deck. In reality his cards are a very complicated collection of cards meant to increase health points to funnel to Ra, drain strength from the opponent, and more. His monsters are mostly fiend monsters like Lava Golem and Coffin Seller.

This deck is a personal favorite as it has a darker feel to it. I mean really, a coffin seller? You have to love that. One of the biggest reasons this anime has a following is because of it's darker undertones, and Marik's deck breaths life back into that feeling.

Play this deck like any powerhouse deck and you will be in good shape. You may find it very difficult to modify the deck as most of the cards have very specific uses. But advanced players will probably be able to do so safely and effectively.

Marik is a great character and his deck is very powerful. If you are a collector or an avid player or both, this is a great deck to own.

The Blue Eyes White Dragon Deck is a very powerful set of cards and you can configure deck in a lot of different ways to make it a very powerful combination of cards. So to start let's mention a few of the powerful cards that come with this deck:

  This legendary dragon is a powerful engine of destruction. Virtually invincible, very few have faced this awesome creature and lived to tell the tale.
• Kaibaman
  Warrior-Effect 200/700
  Tribute this card to Special Summon a "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand.
• Paladin of White Dragon
  Dragon-Ritual-Effect 1900/1200
  This card can only be Ritual Summoned by the Ritual Spell Card "White Dragon Ritual". You must also Tribute monsters from your field or your hand whose total Level equals 4 or more. When this card attacks a face-down defense position monster, destroy that monster immediately (without flipping it face-up or damage calculation). Tribute this card to Special Summon 1 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" from your hand or Deck. (Blue-Eyes White Dragon cannot attack during this turn.)
• Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon
  Dragon-Effect 3000/2500
  This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 1 "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" on your side of the field. Increase the ATK of this monster by 300 for every Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard. You may negate the effects of Spell, Trap, or Monster Cards that designate this card.

I think you get the idea. It is impossible to list all the variations of cards to make this deck powerful so I will just say that it doesn't take a lot of experience or knowledge to make this deck strong since it is already so powerful. The main goal here is to get your power cards onto the field (obviously) and you can do so through summons and fusions. But all you need will be available in this deck already.

So if you all you want is a deck to be ready to use instantly, then I would highly recommend this one since it has so many super strong cards available to choose from.

Talk about a great card!  The Yubel card is based on 'bad guy' (girl rather) from the third season of Yugioh GX.  Yubel is an evil duel monster that aligns itself with others through manipulation.  Yubel will stop at nothing to control all twelve duel dimensions, and ultimately attempts to do so through Jaden, the main character from Yugioh GX.

If you have any doubts about this card, then all you need to do is read the first line of the card:

"This card cannot be destroyed by battle. You take no Battle Damage from battles involving this card."

At first glance, that would make this card indestructible.  But if you keep reading you learn that after the turn you must either tribute one monster, or destroy the card.  Meaning that this card will not last forever, though theoretically it could last a very long time if you build your deck correctly.

Now, should the card actually end up destroyed, meaning not by it's own effect but by an action of your opponent, then it summons a Yubel - Terror Incarnate into it's place.  This card is not weakling either as it boasts the same attributes of Yubel and then some.  But discussing that card is beyond the scope of this post and we will have to return to it later!

I highly recommend having this card, though it may tend to be a playable card for more advanced players, if or when you get to the point where you can play this kind of card effectively then you will be a major force to be reckoned with in any duel or tournament.

Even if you are not advanced enough to play this card or build a deck around using it, then you can still collect it.  As with many Yugioh cards, the Yugioh Yubel card is highly sought after and therfore very valuable.

This is one of the more popular cards because it has a very powerful strategic use. Putting this card on the field will allow you to pick it up and put it back in your hand during the main phase. Then, if you have a face up light monster, you can use this card by sending it to the graveyard. Doing so will raise the attack power of your light monster by the attack power of the monster that is attacking it!

For example, if you are playing a light monster that has 1200 attack power, and it gets attacked by a monster with 1300 attack power, you send this card to the graveyard and your light monster will raise it's attack power by 1300 giving it a monstrous 2500 attack power!

This card has VERY clear advantages if played correctly. Particularly if your opponent has several very strong monsters in their deck and you have a deck full of powerful light monsters. You will then be given ample opportunity to play this card and catch your opponent off guard with a super powered monster.

If you don't have this card, you need to get it. This is a very powerful card, and as such it is in pretty high demand. This is a card i would recommend going triple on. Meaning, I would personally put three of them into my light monster deck. But if you aren't playing with light monsters, or only have a few light monsters in your deck, then this card may not be for you. But at the very least you should be aware of it and it's potential powerful uses.

Good luck getting your hands on Blue Eyes Shining Dragon! This is the card that Pegasus claimed would be able to defeat Yugi's Egyptian God Cards.  Some, however, would argue that it is hard pressed to do anything but that.  Most players will find that the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon is a powerful card once in play, but the hard part is getting it into play.

The reason the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon is tough to summon is because it requires that you sacrifice a precious blue eyes white dragon.  The great thing about the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon is that it starts with 3000 attack power, and then gains 300 more for each dragon card in your graveyard.  Since you have to sacrifice a Blue Eyes White Dragon, you will start out with 3300 attack power as your base.  If you are playing with a dragon based deck, the potential to have a much higher attack power is very real.  But you must have both the Blue Eyes White Dragon and the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon available to be able to summon the stronger monster.  This is often easier said than done.

There are those that argue against the usefulness of the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon, but for beginner and novice players, it will be more than enough to turn the duel to your favor.

A common question for this card is, "What can you use to beat the Blue Eyes Shining Dragon"?  Well, it's not easy that is for sure.  But if you are worried about an opponent playing this card, then you should make sure your deck has Solemn Judgement, or Judgement of Anubis.  How you play those cards can definitely thwart a players attempt to dominate a duel with their Blue Eyes Shining Dragon.
